Dear Mr. Denton:
In Reference 1 Nebraska Public Power District requested a hearing regarding the January 9, 1981 Order for Modification of License concerning BWR scram discharge systems on the basis that the mandated implementation schedule precluded the ability to comply with the requirements of Appendices A and B to 10 CFR Part 50. Since this Order was recently revised to extend the implementation date for Cooper Nuclear Station, the District hereby withdraws our previous request for a hearing.
The automatic air header dump system will still be installed during the outage cc:::mencing April 26, 1981 as an interim short term modification until our long term modifications as described by items 1 and 2 of Reference 2 are completed during our fall 1981 outage.
