I have the hener of representing the Jacksenville, Flcrida area in Cengress and therefere, have been very fr

It is very distress-ing to a re ber cf Ceng ess to reali::e that sc cany years cculd go ty, in this case =cre than eight years, fren the ti=e the applicatien is =ade to the geve= rent and until pe nissicn is granted in such an i=pertant area cf energy prcductien.

I knew that is is no ene's fault and the purpcse cf this letter is not to express any hard feelings er fault finding but

=erely to urge frc=.the bettc= cf =y heart that all proper prc=ptness be used in expediting the licenses which are scught.

I feel so genuinely that nuclear pcwer, and particularly offslme power, offers a real oppertunity in the power crunch which is new bei=g experienced and will be experienced l

I undersjand that sene thought has been given to not applying the presently proposed standards to the =anufacturing licenses which are sought by =y constituents b u if this were to be the decisics it would certainly delay a' decision to the indefinito future cence:ning what this company can do to M1p fight the energy shcrtage problem, n.is shod d not be allowed

I urge you sincerely to look at this matter with urgency and hopefully you

=ay be able to find it preper to grant the licenses sought in the near future so that this ec=pany can go ahead with what it has 1cng been under-l taking to do.

Scme pecple have said that since there is not at the mcment a customer for this manafacturing product that, therefere, the matter should be put en l

a back burner.

I can see through the eyes and hearts of =y constituents l

a devastati=g frustratien at such a thought when they knew as surely as the sun will rise ta=crrew that the delays encountered in the per=itting procr.ss t
