O DR. DADE MOELLER CERTIFICATION PURSUANT TO 18 U.S.C. 5 208 Pursuant to Section 208(b), Title 18 U.S.C.
(Pub. L.87-849, 76 Stat. 1124), the Nuclear Regulatory Commission hereby deter-mines, for the reasons set forth below, that an exemption from this section be granted to Dr. Dade Moeller, a consultant to Argonne Universities Association, and a member of the Commission's Advisory Committee on Reactor Safeguards (ACRS), so that he might be permitted to review as a member of the ACRS work performed by Argonne National Laboratory.
Because of Dr. Moeller's many years' experience in health physics and reactor safety and his outstanding scientific and technical abilities, he is uniquely qualified to advise NRC on matters involving his areas of expertise.
Dr. Moeller's value to the NRC would be substantially diminished if he could not review work performed by Argonne National Laboratory.
For approximately two days each year, Dr. Moeller serves on an Argonne Universities Association " visiting committee" which annually inspects Argonne National Laboratory to ' review the work of its Environmental Impact Studies Division.
The Commission deems this activity as not so substantial as to be likely to affect the integrity of Dr. Moeller's services to the government.
