March 10, 1981 Mr. Rick Trombetta 14036 Foothill Boulevard IN RESPONSE REFER Sylmar, CA 91342 TO F01A-81-64

Dear Mr. Trombetta:

This is in response to your letter dated February 15, 1981, in which you requested, pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, documents concerning the amount of radiation involved in the recent water leak at the Trojan nuclear plant as reported in a recent newspaper article.

No records were created by NRC with regard to the reported water leak.

Accurding to staff at NRC's Region V offices, the shut down was considered a routine maintenance procedure and no inspection or investigation was initiated.

Sincere)
