DPC Letter, Linder to Eisenhut, LAC-7196, dated October 31, 1980.

r Gentlemen:

Your letter (Reference 1) transmitted the preliminary results of your review of environmental qualifications of safety related electrical equipment at the La Crosse Boiling Water Reactor.

We were requested to review NRC identified deficiencies and their ramifications and to provide you our overall finding regarding continued safe operation of l

LACBWR.

Our letter (Reference 2) responded to your order dated September 18, 1980.

We find that the conclusions reached in this response remain valid.

Many of the corrective actions identified in Reference 2 have been initiated.

Therefore having considered the NRC staff's prelimin-ary list of deficiencies which generally constitute the need for infor-mation to be developed and submitted, we conclude that continued safe operation of the LACBWR facility is assured.

Very truly yours, DAIRYLAND POWER COOPERATIVE N
