Arkansas Nuclear One - Units 1 and 2 Docket Nos. 50-313 and 50-365 License Nos. DPR-51 and NFF-5 IE Bulletin 80-15 (File: 1510.1, 2-1510.1)
Gentlemen:
The following information is provided in response to IE Bulletin 80- 15.
Each response is numoered in accordance with the bulletin ques ti ons.
1.
In compliance to your request, after re:eiving and reviewing the subject Bulletin, an irspection was mace on June 27, 1980, to verify that our Emergency Notification System is powered using on-site power as described in the two enclosures af Inis I-E Bulletin.
2.
Our ENS station packages are fed by an inverter which is backed up by a battery bank and a diesel gei;?rator.
3.
A test was conducted to verify that all extensions of the ENS located at our facility remained fully operable from the facility to the NRC Operations Center upon a loss of offsite power to our facility.
Tnis was accomplished by removing all A.C. power to the inverter.

Our Emergency Notification System is connected to an inverter which is backed up by automatic transfer Therefore, a to a battery (and a diesel generator.24) hour notification to the NRC Op twenty-four Center was not required.
5.
The Operations Department at AN0 has prepared and
-issued a standing order #46 Rev. I which requires notification to the NRC Operations Center within one hour of the time that one or more extensions of our ENS located at our facility is (are) found to be i noperable.
As requested by the cover letter to the subject Bulletin, approximately twenty (20) nenhours were expended to review, inspect and prepare this res ponse.
