Dear Mr. MacDonald:
General Atomic Company was required to license the GB-0999B shipping package because an overseas shipment from Harwell to Oak Ridge made an intermediate stop at General Atomic Company.
Substantial portions of our cooperative research programs have been terninated or deferred indefinitely because of the Administration's position on advanced reactor technology. Accordingly General Atomic Company forsees no future use of the subject licensee for domestic shipments between General Atomic Company and Oak Ridge.
We therefore provide this indication of our intent not to renew the subject license authorizing domestic shipment of radioactive material in the GB-0999B shipping package.
Very truly yours, l.
