J The Ninth NRC Regulatory Infonnation Conference will be held on April 1-2,1997, at The Capital Hilton Hotel in Washington, D.C. The preliminary agenda for the conference is attached along with an information sheet, a hotel floor plan, an area map, and a special registration form developed for NRC and interested metropolitan area government agency employees. Please disseminate this information, invite, or designate people on your staff to attend the conference.
We want to encourage attendance, but we also need to maintain the number of attendees at a reasonable level. Attendees from your organization should complete and return the attached registration form to Anna May Haycraft-Popp, mail stop O-12 E20, by March 10,1991.
j A limited number of Metro Passes will be available on a first-come first-served basis from Pam O' Dell at 012 E20 or Tajuan Carter at O-12 H3 from March 24-28.

Onsite Conference registration will cotc:mence in Foyer 1 on Monday evening, March 31, from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Registration will resume in Foyer 1 and on the Capital Terrace on April 1 from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and again on April 2 from 7:00 a.m. until noon. NRC and other metro-politan area government agencies will have a special area for registration. Payment at that time can a

MEETING ROOMS:
The Presidential Ballroom will be used for the Opening and Cbsing Sessions, Plenary Sessions, and for the largest breakout sessions. There will be a 45-minute break' before lunch on April 1 and 2 to allow the hotel to reset the room from a breakout session to a lunchem setup.
