Dear Mr. Crase:
This refers to your application dated December 9,1989, requesting renewal of Certificate of Compliance No. 5272 for the Model No. 6272 package.
Since ar application was submitted at least 30 days prior to expiration of the 4
Certificate of Compliance, the Certificate of Compliance will not be deemed to have cxpired until the application has been finally determined.
The application for renewal does not provide suf ficient information on operating procedures ano maintenance programs for the package.
The application should be revised to include, as a minimum, the following information.
Operating procedures should be presented sequentially in the order of performance and such items as inspections prior to loading, cautionary notes on package handling, lim :s on package contents, installation of a security seal, and instructions pertinent to reviewing and unloading the package should be j
addressed.
n The maintenance program should describe the act;ons taken to ensure continued performance of the packaging. The program shoulo include periodic testing, j
inspection, and replacement schedules, as well as criteria for replacement and repair of components and subsystems on an as.needed basis.
The information should be provided within 90 days from the date of this letter.
