l Enclosed is an export license application from Westinghouse Electric l
Corporation, dated January 18, 1990, for the export of mechanical plugs to Bulgaria. The mechanical plugs are to be installed into steam generators in i
the Kozloduy Nuclear Reactor Units 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5.
A related export license application (XCOM1031) for the export of mechanical plugs to Yugoslavia was forwarded under separate cover.
Please note that the 1
applicant's cover letter contains company pro)rietary information and will not t
be placed in the NRC Public Document Room. T11s information should be given i
corresponding protection during the Executive Branch review process.
l Before taking action on this request, we would appreciate your obtaining necessary assurances under Section 109 of the Act and receiving your views i
from the overall p6rspective of the Executive Branch, as to whether the proposed export meets the other applicable criteria in the Atomic Energy Act of 1954 as amended by the Nuclear Nonproliferation Act of 1978.
