' ' cense fio. DPR-40 for the fort Calhoun Station, Unit No.1.

This amendment consists of changes to the Technical Spcifications in response to your application dated December 1,1989.

The amendment edes an operating mcde number for each c.eratir.g mode in Table 3-4 of the Technical Specifications.

In acidition in the Refueling Shutdown mode, when fuel is in the core, a water sampling and analysis is required. However, when the total core has been off-loaded, this amendment incorporates that water testing and analysis is not required since there is no fuel in the core.

A copy of our related Safety Evaluation is enclosed. The notice of issuarice will be included in the Commission's next biweekly Federal Register notice.
