SUBJECT:

EMERGENCY RESPONSE PLAN FOR THE UNIVERSITY OF MISSOURI AT COLUMBIA RESEARCH REACTOR (MURR)

The staff of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has completed its review and evaluation of changes to the Emergency Plan for the University of Missouri Research Reactor Facility that you submitted on December 8,1989 in compliance with 10 CFR 50.54(q). The changes were reviewed against 10 CFR 50.54(q).

Based on its review, the staff concludes that the changes to the Emergency Plan for the University of Missouri Research Reactor Facility maintains compliance with 10 CFR 50, Appendix E.

We have determined that the changes do not decrease the effectiveness of your approved plan, and are, therefore, acceptable.
