ISSUANCE OF AMENDMENT NO. 12 TO TACILITY OPERATING LICENSE f
NO. R WASHINGTON STATE UNIVERSITY The Commission has issued the enclosed Amendment No.12 to Facility Operating License No. R-76 for the Washington State University Modified TRIGA Reactor.
The amendment consists of changes to the Technical Specifications in response to your submittel dated September 6,1989 as supplemented on November 21, 1989.
The amendment changes the maximum reactivity that may be inserted in the pulse mode by expressing the limit in terms of peak fuel temperature, in addition to this change, to make the license condition complete, we have discussed with youandhaveamendedParagraph2.C.(1)offacilityOperatingLicenseNo.R-76 to include reference to tae pulsing mode of operation.
A copy of the related Safety Evaluation supporting Amendment No. 12 is enclosed.
