Harrison and Pottawattande participated fully:in the exercise.' '1he Medical Services evaluation is included in the attached report._ The report was prepared by Region VII of the Federal Emergency Marnfamuit Agency (FDR).
Six deficiencies were identified for the State of Nebraska and affected ocunties. 'Ihree deficiencies were identified for the State of Iowa-and
-affected counties. All deficiencies were adequately dai xotated at the remedial. exercise on. September 12, 1989,' or adequately corrected through plan'and standard operating procedure changes.
'Ihere were also thirty-two' Areas Requiring Corrective Action l(ARCAs) j
-identified during this exercise - sixteen for the State of Nebraska and -
affected counties and sixteen for the State of Iowa and affected counties.

Based on the remedial actions taken by the States of Nebraska and Iowa,' FDR -
considers _that offsite radiological emergency preparedness is adequate to provide reasonable assurance that appropriate measures can be taken offsite to protect the health ard safety of the public living in the vicinity of the site, in the event of_a radiological emergency. 'Iherefore, the approval of j
Lthe offsite plans for the State of Nebraska and the State of' Iowa, site-1 2-specific to the Ft. Calhoun Nuclear Station granted under 44 CFR 350 on nar - h e 3,'1984, and May.4, 1987, respectively, continues to be in effect.
