SEQUOYAH NUCLEAR PLANT (SQN) - TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION (TS) CHANGE 89 BORON INJECTION TANK DEACTIVATION
. In.accordance with 10 CFR 50.90, we are enclosing a requested amendment to
' licenses DPR-77 and DPR-79 to change the TSs of SQN Units 1 and 2.
The proposed change' reflects the effects of the boron injection tank deactivation.

The justification for the proposed TS change is provided in Enclosure 2.

For your information, Enclosure 4 contains the expected changes resulting from boron injection tank deactivation to SON's Final Safety Analysis Report, Chapter 15 analyses.

'This TS change is being requested for implementation during the Unit 1 Cycle 4 and Unit 2 Cycle 4' refueling outages.
To support the schedule, we request the
. approved Unit 1' amendment between April 1 and May 15, 1990.
The approved
-Unit 2 amendment is expected to be required between October 15 and December 1, 1990.
TVA will keep NRC project management informed of any schedule changes through routine project review meetings.
