i I am enclosing a trip report from a visit to Savannah River Laboratory (SRL) i in December 1989.
In meeting with SRL staff members involved in designing the i
Defense Waste Processing Facility, I had the opportunity to learn more about SRL's strategies for vitrification off. gas treatment, and I was able to get a slightly different perspective on the work being done in this field at West Valley. Your' staff has agreed to discuss off. gas treatment further during our meetings on January 23 25, 1990.
I hope to get their reaction to the observations in the trip report.
