RESPONSE TO GENERIC LETTER 89 SAFETY-RELATED J
MOTOR-OPERATED VALVE TESTING AND SURVEILLANCE Generic Letter 89-10, Safety-Related Motor-operated Valve Testing and Surveillance, dated June 28, 1989, outlined recommended actions and a schedule.for licensee programs dealing with safety-related motor-operated i
valve testing and surveillance. The Generic Letter extends the scope of the program outlined in Bulletin 85-03 and Supplement 1 of Bulletin 85-03 to include all safety-related motor operated valves as well as position-changeable motor operated valves as defined in the Generic Letter.
This letter provides Consumers Power Company's response, pursuant to f
10CFR50.54(f), that Big Rock Point-Plant will comply with the schedule and recommer.dations set forth in Generic Letter 89-10 It is also understood that should there be any future changes to scheduled commitments for Big Rock Point, Consumers Power Company will submit those changes in writing to the NRC. Justification for the revised schedules or alternative actions will be i
