On November 6, 1981, Applicant Union Electric Company served its testimony and exhibits to be presented at the hearing beginning November 17, 1931, on among other matters, Joint Inter-venors' Contention No.
1, Part II.A.2 " Centerline Lack of Penetration in SA-312 Piping." One of the witnesses testifying on this issue Mr. Naranjan P.
Goel, a Bechtel employee, has become unavailable to appear on the witness panel at the scheduled hearing.
Accordingly l
Mr. John D.
Hurd, the SNUPPS Mechanical Group Supervisor for Bechtel has been substituted for Mr. Goel and has adopted his testimony.
Enclosed is a revised copy of the testimony on this l
issue.
It should be noted that there are no substantiva changes in the testimony, except in response to Question Nos.
8, 9 and 10 (and Attach:wnt 3) which concern Mr. Hurd's employment and professional qualifications and experience.
The only other changes are the sub-stitution of Mr. Hurd's nax.e on the cover sheet and in Answer No.

graphical error has been corrected on page 33, line 9.
We are also including in this package a copy of Appendix 2 to the Bechtel " Report on Investigation of Weld l
Imperfections in ASME SA-312 Double Welded Austenitic Stainless Steel Pipe for-Compliance with NRC I&E Bulletin 79-03", which report was served as an Exhibit with the testimony on centerline lack of penetration in SA-312 piping.
This appendix is being provided for informational purposes only and will not be intro-
]
duced into evidence.
Finally, it appears that some copies of SNUPPS letter SLNRC 80-38 also served as an Exhibit with this testimony may have been incomplete.
Accordingly, we are enclosing complete copies of this Exhibit.
