% pg Dear Chairman Smith and member
=
I was startled to read in my local paper that the Staff has been investigating a safety violation at another nuclear power plant operated by G.P.U. Nuclear Corporation, which occured April 16, 1981 ct the Oyster Creek facility. Why has this not been brought to the attention of parties in this hearing who are concerned with the j
management practices of G.P.U. Nuclear Corporation?
As the Board is aware, the PDR for Oyster Creek is not in our area and we do not l
receive docket files on that plant, hence we had no way of kncving l
about this safety violation, or any othar which may have occurred at Oyster Creek while it has been managed by G.P.U. Nuclear Corporation.
l We request that the Board consider whether, even at this late date, the management violation (s) at Oyster Creek which occurred stile l
G.P.U. Nuclear Group /Ccrporation has been managing that facility should be considered by the Board or the Commission in deciding the competance of G.P.U. Nuclear to manage TMI-1.
