Dear Mr. Eisenhut:
In our June 18, 1981, response to your February 25, 1981, letter on " Emergency Procedures and Training for Stat on Blackout i
Events", we indicated that a new procedure addressing tN. actions necessary to restore emergency onsite AC power would be developed by August 25, 1981.
This letter requests a delay in developing this procedure until October 26, 1981.
At the time of our response, we expected that the procc-dure addressing complete loss of AC power would be developed within six months of the date of your letter; i.e., by August 25, 1981.
However, as this procedure was developed, more detailed analysis was required in some areas than we had initially anticipated and several new procedures had to be written.
In addition, increased worki,ad at Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station caused by extension of the Unit 3 Refueling Outage and several unexpected forced out-l ages on Unit 2 have delayed work on these procedures. We antici-l pate that these procedures will be completed by October 26, 1981.
