Dear Sir,
In the referenced letter Boston Edison Co. (BECo) committed to revising and implementing the emergercy procedures for Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station (PNPS) at the first refueling cutage after January 1, 1982 in accordance with NRC staff approved emergency procedure guide-lines.
PNPS's next refueling outage is -..ieduled to commence in Septem-ber 1981 and conclude in December 1981. There is however, a possibi-lity that this outage may extend into 1982. To preclude any confu-sion regarding the above commitment, should the outage completion be extended, BECo herein clarifies that position.
BECo shall revise and implemer.t the emergency procedures for PNPS, in accordance with the staff approved guidance, at the first refueling outage scheduled to commence after January 1,1552.
We believe this commitment satisfies the intent of Item 1.C.1.
