- [O, removal Polar crane inspection and survey All tasks were successfully completed with the exception of the polar crane inspection and survey.

The inspection and survey of the polar crane was planned to commence early during the day. However, delays were encountered involving the closure and opening of the outer airlock door. The door locking mechanirn was repaired later in the day, but at that time the Reactor Building Comand Center personnel decided to postpone the polar crane task due to the unforeseen delays.

The polar crane inspection and survey is now planned to be performed on Thursday, July 2, 1981.

The onsite NRC staff will monitor that entry.

The media has been contacted on the airlock door difficulty and the licensee plans to issue a press release. The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania has been infonned.
