NRC Inspection This refers to the routine safety-inspection conducted by Mr. J. F. Pang of this o#fice on May 14, 1981 of activities authorized by NRC License No.
04-00616-u4 and to the discussion of our findings held by Mr. Pang with you and other members of your staff at the conclusion of the inspection.
The inspection was an examination of the activities conducted under your license as they relate to radiation safety and to compliance with the Comission's rules and regulations and the conditions of your license. The inspection consisted of selective examinations of procedures and representative records, interviews with personnel and observations by the inspector.
No items of noncompliance with NRC requirements were identified within the scope of this inspection.
During the inspection it was noted that your basic training course for radiographers did not include " Case Histories of Radiography Accidents" as a subject.
This subject matter is listed as a requirement in Appendix A of 10 CFR 34.
Mr. Cuthbertson stated that the company is complying with this requirement through the issuance of a monthly newsletter which discusses one case history in each issue. This is an excellent training aid and we encourage you to continue this practice. Pursuant to our recent telephone discussion we understand that " Case HStories of Radiography Accidents" will also be included tr. the basic treining n urse for radiographers.
