OF APRIL 15, 1981 MEETING E
15, 1981 members of the NRC staff met with the applicant, Mississippi On April Power & Light Company (MP&L), at the Grand Gulf site in Port Gibson, Mississippi to discuss the MPal organizational structure for operations and general licensing T50 staff also accomplished an aerial site overview to assess site matters.
surroundings and evacuation routes, and toured the Unit 1 containment, auxiliary building, and control room. The list of attendees is provided as Enclosure 1, and the igenda as Enclosure 2.
The meeting consisted of a discussion of the Grand Gulf licensing review schedule, with a focus on both the construction status and utility staffing to support start-up and operation. MP&L reiterated its coninitment to meeting its projected fuel load date of December 31, 1981, and senior management attention to nuclear activi-ties and staffing.
Based on a review of the Grand Gulf organization and construction status, the NRC indicated that it would continue to perform its OL review consistent with the applicant's construction and fuel load schedule.
