In anoordance with the provisicas of 10 CFR Part 50.59, we are enclosing 40 copies of a mquested amendment to license DPR-77 to change the technical apeoitiaations of Sequoyah Nuclear Plant unit 1.
The proposed 4
change to update the minimum shift crew ocuposition for the control room implements the requirwasnts for operation with two units operated from one room. This change is consistent with the draft Sequoyah unit 2 technical spooitiaations and MUREG-0737 ites I.A.1 3.
The proposed== mad==nt is required tc support the initial startup and operation of Sequoyah Huolear Plant and is entirely administrative in nature. Therefore, in aooordance with 10 CFR Part 170.22, we consider -
i that no fee is mquimd.
We request that thia amendment be issued as soon as possible for imple-mentation when Sequoyah unit 2 receives an operating license and begins operation.

1 I During any absence.of the Shift Supervisor from the Control Room while the unit is in MODE 1, 2, 3 or 4, an individual (other than the Shift Technical Advisor) with a valid SRO license shall be designated to assume the Control Room command function.
During any absence of the Shift Supervisor from the Control Room while the Unit is in Mode 5 or 6, an individual with a valid R0 license (other than the Shift Technical Advisor) shall be designated to assume the Control Room command function.
