Subject:

GDC 51 Information Transmittal

Dear Mr. Kintner:

Detroit Edison submitted information on June ),

1981, to demon-strate that the containment pressure boundary materials were fabricated in accordance with GDC 51. We then reported the maximum wedge thickness of HPCI valve V8-2194 to be 5%".

How-ever, the vendor has subsequently indicated that, although this is the maximum thickness, 1 " is the most critical section thickness. This information is shown on the dimensional inspec-tion report previously transmitted.

Sincerely, f/

W.F. Colbert Technical Director Fermi 2 Project KH/gs godl u.
