Dear Mr. Kappler:
On March 27, 1981 Toledo Edison submfcred a revised response to IE Bulletin 80-06, which addressed the. Engineered Safety Features (ESF) and other Safety Related Systems reset controls as they relate to Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station Unit No. 1.
In.he March 27 submittal, Toledo Edison stated that certain valves, DH 2733, DH 2734, DH 13B and DH 14B would be tested to confirm that upon receipt of an ESF Actuation Siganl, the valves would m3ve to their emergency mode and when the trip signal was reset, the valves retained in their emergency mode.
The valves were successfully tested on May 14, 1981 and documented in TP 520.09, ' Decay Hea't Valve Special Test".
