Whereas, the Contractor notified the Contracting Officer by letter dated November 12, 1980, that an increase in contract a..nouni. would be required due to the long delay of Westinghouse's respon. e to NAI's first series of e
questions, inadequacy of some of the answers provided, and the extreme difficulties encountered in dialing in to the Srookhaven computer.
Whereas, the contract has expired and the Contractor's final report was delivered to the NRC on March 2, 1981.
Whereas, the Contractor in a telecon, February 25, 1981 has submitted a breakdown of the additicnal costs required and such breakdewn includes a cost growth of $3,9 9.0^>.
This overrun amount was ccmprised of other direct costs, overhead, and ge.eral and administrative expenses.

!!hereas, these costs are not fee bearing as they were not incurred as a result of work performed outside the original scope of the contract.
Now therefore, the following changes are hereby made:
t 1.
Subject contract is hereby extended from January 9,1981 to March 2,1981.
2.
Additional funds in the amount of $3,974.00 have been incorporated.
As a result the total estimated cost is increased from $35,237.00 to 539,211.00.
Of this sum, $36,600.00 represents the estimated i
reimburseable cost and $2,611.00 represents the fixed fee. There is no change in the fixed fee from the original amount.
