Dear Mr. Miller:

We hereby request the following changes of the Safety Analysis Penort for the University of California Berkeley Research Reactor, February 1S%

lines 21, 22 and 23 on pages 6-8 and line 1 of pages 6-9 from:

All personnel working around the reactor will be part of the medical program which is administrated by Environmental Health and Safety.

This program calls for bi-annual physical examinations and alternate bi-annual clinical laboratory tests.

These changes were reviewed by the Reactor Hazards Comittee, Environmental l

Health and Safety and the Reactor Staff.

This change does not constitute an unreviewed safety question in that:

(1) It does not increase the probability of occurrence of an accident analyzed in the Safety Analysis Report (2) It does not increase the consequences of an accident analyzed in the Safety Analysis Report t
