Washington, D.C. 20555 St,BJECT: Arkansas Nuclear One - Unit 2 Docket No. 50-368 License No. NPF-6 Request for Technical Specification Change Concening a Core Protection Calculator Addressable Constant (File: 2-1510)

Gentlemen:

Attached are proposed changes to Table 2.2-1 of the Arkansas Nuclear One, Unit 2 Technical Specifications and a revised supporting Bases paragraph 2.2.2. We request expeditious NRC review and approval u.

these changes in order to support our current Cycle 2 reload effort.

These changes add an NRC requested specification for minimum allo ole values for the Core Protection Calculator addressable constant BERRI.

Please note that the attached pages also contain changes which were previc: sly submitted unrelated to this particular request. To avoid cerifusion, the unrelated changes are indicated with a single, vertical marginal line. Changes pertinent to this request are identified by a set of two vertical marginal lines. Since these changes merely supplement our March 5,1981, Cycle 2 Technical Specification reload submittal, no additional processing fee is included.

Additionally, in reference to a question from Mr. Bob Martin of your stiff, the following infomation is provided. Analyses performed for the feedwater and steam line break accidents indicate that, oased on DNBR criteria, no fuel damage would result.
