Mr. Gerald Beyers Administrator 1125 South Madison Jefferson City, MO 65101 Gentlemen; This refers to the routine safety inspection conducted by Mr. V. P. Reichhold of this office on May 1, 1981, of activities authorized by NRC Byproduct Material License No. 24-12699-01 and to the discussion of our findings with Messrs. James Cox and Marvin Feldman at the conclusion of the inspection.
The inspection was an examination of activities conducted under your license as they relate to radiation safety and to compliance with the Commission's rules and regulations and with the conditions of your license.
The inspec-tion consisted of a selective examination of procedures and representative records, observations, independent measurements, and interviews with personnel.
This inspection also included a review of the actions described in your letter dated May 10, 1981, regarding the apparent items of noncompliance identified during our Decenber 7-8, 1977, inspection. We have no further questions regarding this matter.
During this inspection, certain of your activities appeared to be in non-compliance with NRC requirements, as specified in enclosed Appendix A.
A written response, submitted under oath or affirmation, is required.
We will gladly discuss any questions you have concerning this inspection.
