This refers to the inspection conducted by Mr. R. E. Oller of this office on March 9-12,1981, of your facility at Portland, Oregon, and to the discussion of our findings with you and members of the plant staff at the conclusion of the inspection.
This inspection was made as a result of:
(1) the issuance of a 10 CFR Part 21 report pertaining to partial and total disengagement of bushings in sway struts that have been fu.nished to Midland Units 1 and 2 and the Palisades Project, (2) the issuance of a 10 CFR Part 21 report pertaining to a material mixup in bolting furnished to Midland Units 1 and 2; and (3) the identification of non-conformances in component supports that have t.een furnished to Washington Public Power Supply System Nuclear Project 2.
Areas examined during the inspection and our findings are discussed in the enclosed report. Within these areas, the inspection consisted of an examination of proceiures and representative records, inter !iews with personnel, and observations by the inspector.
Within the scope of this inspection, we found no instance where you failed to meet NRC requirements.
In accordance with Section 2.790 of the Comission's " Rules of Practice,"
Part 2, Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations, a copy of this letter together with the enclosed inspection report will be placed in the Commission's Public Document Room.
If this report contains any info 7 nation that you believe to be proprietary, it is necessary that you make a written application to this office within 25 days of the date of this letter to withhold such infomation from public disclosure. The application must include a full statement of the reasons why it is claimed that the infomation is proprietary.

prepared so that proprietary information identified is contained in an enclosure to the application, since the application without Ja enclosure will also be placed in the Public Document Room.
