Your letter dated March 24, 1981 provided a list of questions to be answered in connection with renewal application for the Model No. 6400 packaging, and requested a response within 30 days, as to when the information would be provided.

In confirmation of the recent telephone conversation between Mr. D. J.

Petrarca of West-inghouse and Mr.

R.

H.

Odegaarden of your office, Westinghouse is in the process of obtaining bids on the work necessary to evaluate the package to assure that it meets the requirements of Part 71.

The responses to the bid requests are expected within the next month.

At that time Westinghouse will be able to provide you with a more definitive schedule for the complete response to your questions.
