This letter constitutes our response to the subject inspection report.
It is our opinion that nothing in the report or in this letter is of a proprietary nature.
Our response to the item of noncompliance cited in Appendix "A" of the report is as follows:
1.
Corrective Action Taken and Results Achieved The DDC associated with the work was prepared improperly.
The work was inspected and found to be in accordance with design requirements.
The drawings involved have been revised to reflect the installed condition.
2.
Corrective Action to be Taken to Avoid f'arther Noncompliance The EVAC contractor will perform a review of all DDC's applicable to HVAC to establish whether this is an isolated case or if there are other discrepancies.
If there are any discrepancies, they shall be corrected as necessary.
Training will be conducted to instruct the appropriate personnel in the procedures for documenting field changes.
The AE has instituted an EVAC Drawing Checklist and an HVAC DDC/NR Log to be completed by the EVAC designer and reviewed by the HVAC Section Leader.
The purpose of these forms will be to identify all design documents affected by DDC/NR's and to assure that the documents are revised.
