Tennessee Valley Authority's application for construction permits for the Phipps Bend Nuclear Plant, Units 1 and 2, you have been receiving copies of correspondence to the applicant originated by the Division of Licensing during our review of the application and during the current inactive review stage.
In accordance with Nuclear Regulatory Commission's (NRC) regulations, documents filed by the applicant and correspondence from us regarding the construction of the facilities will continue to be made available in the NRC and local public document rooms.
In addition NRC field offices.or headquarters will issue public announcements should any significant events occur with respect to the facilities.
Since the proceedings to which you were an intervening party have been completed and construction permits have been issued for the Phipps Bend facilities and in light of the availability of documents in the public records, we will discontinue sending you copies of our correspondence to the Tennessee Valley Authority. We hope that we have been nelpful over the years and that the above sources of information will adequately serve your future needs.
