Eisenhut't October 31, 1980, letter to All Licensees of Operating Plants regarding post-TMI requirements, TVA provided an initial submittal to the NRC for the Browns Ferry Nuclear Plant by letter from me to you dated December 23, 1980. The following is a revised response to Item II.F.1, Attachment 2, Sampling and Analysis of Plant Effluents:
Revised TVA Rest.,onse TVA expects to have available for review by November 1, 1981, the final design details which include the scoping document and procurement specifications for this equipment.
Preliminary indications reveal tnat there is no instrumentation currently available that will fully meet NRC requiremonts for sampling and analyais of plant effluents. However, we intend to submit a schedule for implementation as the design details become finalized.
It is our understanding that this approach satisfies the intent of this ites for NUREG-0737.
