'in the BWR Scram System In Reference (1), Nor'.heast Nuclear Energy Company (NNECO) was requested to provide the NRC Staff, within 45 days of receipt of Reference (1), the following informations i

1.

A generic evaluation of the applicability of the indicated I

sequences of events in the report to the BWR plant design, t

an estimate of the probability of occurrence of such se-l quences, and the bases for these conclusions, 2.

A generic evaluation of the applicability of the indicated safety concerns and findings in the report relative to BWR plant construction, design, and operation and the bases for these conclusions, and 3.

A generic evaluation of the recommendations listed in the report discussing the degree to which the recommendations are being or have been implemented with bases why the recommendations should or should not be completely imple-mented on BWRs.

.A e The above three (3) generic evaluations have been provided to the NRC Staff by General Electric (GE) in Reference (2). Therefore, NNECO hereby references GE's submittal to satisfy the 45-day requirements of Reference (1).

In addition, NNECO is continuing to evaluate the 120-day requirements of Reference (1) and intends to subruit the requested information within the specified time frame.
