The U !i. Nuclear. Regulatory-Commi.ssion (the.Commi.ssion). has. is. sued Amendment No~.70 to Facility Operating License No._ DPR-46,. issued.to Nebraska Public Power District (the licenseel, whic!t= revised the Technica1' Specifications for. operation. of the Cooper Nuclear Station, located in Nemaha County, Nebraska.
The amendment is effective as of its date of issuance.
The amendment modifies the Technical Specifications.to:
(llpermit-operation.of the facility during Cycle 7 with.112 new P8x8R fuel assembliesi

designed and fabricated by Generali Electric Company (gel replacing 'an equivalent '
number of 7x7 and 8x8 irradiated fuel assemblies and'(21 revise limits-based on transient and. accident analysis for Cycle 7 core loading which included use.
of the ODYN code for the analyses of overpressurization transients.
The application for: the amendment complies with ths"s'tandards and require-ments of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended (the Act), and the Commission's rules and regulations. The Commission-has made appropriate findings as required by the Act and the Comission's rules and regulations in 10 CFR Chapter I, which are set forth in the license amendment.
Prior public notice of this amendment-was not required since the amendment does not involve a significant hazards consideration.
