This refers to the routine s1fety inspection conducted by Messrs. W. J. Slawiaski and B. Stapleton of this office on April 15, 1981, of activities at Grunac Company, Inc. authorized by NRC Byproduct Material License No. 48-18383-01 and to the discussion of oar findings with you and Mr. Dave Dombrowski at the con-clusion of the inspection.
The in;pection was an examination of activities conducted under your license as they relate to radiation safety and to compliance with the Commission's rules and regulations and with the conditions of your license. The inspection consisted of a selective examination of procedures and representative records, observations, independent measurements, and interviews with personnel.
In addition to the above areas, the inspectors examined acticas described in your letter dated May 7, 1980, regarding the apparent items of noncompliance found during our April 21, 1980, inspection. We have no further questions regarding this matter.
During this inspection, certain of your activities appeared to be in noncom-pliance with NRC requirements, as specified in enclosed Appendix A.
A written response, submitted under oath or affirmation, is required.
We will gladly discuss any questions you have concerning this inspection.
