Yo ur letter of April 9, 1981, forwarded IE Bulletin 81-02,
" Failure of Gate Type Valves to Close Against Differential Pressure."
Item 1 of the Bulletin required a review cf our facility to determine if Westinghouse Electro-Mechanical Division 3-inch or 4-inch Valves or Borg-Warner liuclear Valve Division 3-inch 1500 pound Motor Operated Gate Valves are used in safety-related systems or are maintained as spares.
Our review has determined that no gate valves of the types identified in your letter are used or are. stocked as spares at Peach Pottom.
Therefore, in accordance with the Bulletin, no response is needed for the remaining items.
Approximately two man-days were expended in preparation of this response.
