Thank you for your letter dated March 26, 1981 informing us of the steps you have taken to correct items which we brought to your attention in our letter dated February 25, 1981.
These items were discussed in an Enforcement Conference held with Mr. Lu Nackman and other members of Wur staff at Wadsworth Hospital in Los Angeles, California on May 7,1981. This meeting is documented in Report 81-01.
I During the conference, the items of noncertpliance noted during the special safety inspection of December 8-11, 1980 were reviewed, and specific areas of concern to the NRC were discussed.
Representatives of your staff stated that a license amendment wili be prepared and submitted to NRC's Licensing Eranch for review.
Your staff was informed that their reply to the Notice of Violation will be acknowledged with the understanding that the license amendment will be submitted.
Your corrective actions will be verified during our next inspection.
