This letter constitutes our response to the subject inspection report.

It is ocr vainion that nothing in the report or in this letter is of a proprietary nature.

Our response to the item of noncompliance cited in Appendix "A" of the report is as follows:

1. Corrective Action Taken and Results Achieved Both the Test Coordinator and Station Superintendent have discussed the necessity for adherence to written administrative and test procedures with the NSSS Test Coordinator and the General Electric Site Operations Engineer with positive action being taken on his part to ensure compliance.

Additionally, a draft revision of SU. ACP.05, " Conduct of Preoperational Tests", is being written to more clearly state the rules for conducting preoperational tests.

Among the items to be clarified are:

a. Use of Test Change Notices, Exceptions, Nonconformance Reports, major changes, and the chronological log and when each is applicable, and
b. The requirements for recording instrument numbers and calibration dates on measuring and test equipment and

2. Corrective Action to be Taken to Avoid Further fioncompliance Upon final approval of this revision to SU. ACP.05, an indoctrination session will be conducted by the Test Coordinator for all System Test Coordinators, System Engineers, CG&E Staff Engineers, and other staff personnel involved in the preoperational test program.
3. Date When Full Compliance Will Be Achieved The revision of SU. ACP.05 will be approved and preoperational test program personnel will have . received the reindoctrination session by April 3,1981.
