PRAIRIE ISLAND UNITS 1 & 2:
ENGINEERED SAFETY FEATURE RESET CONTROLS In response to TACs 42770 and 42771, we are providing the enciesed Safety Evaluation Report'of the licensee's response to I&E Eulletin 80-05 concerning Engineered Safety Features (ESF) Reset Controls for the Prairie Island Nuclear Generating Plant Units 1 and 2, Cccket Nos. 50-232 and 50-3C5 respectively.
The licensee cc=nitted to test Unit i during the refueling cutage scheduled in August / September 1980 and to test Unit 2 during the refueling cutage scheduled in February / March 1981.
ISE shculd verify the successful completion of these tests.
As part of cur effort, the containment purge technical evaluation report was also reviewed and no conflicts with the enclosure were fcund.
With this SER, we conclude that the ESF reset controls for this nuclear plant comply with NRC criteria.
