Dear Harold:
Each year I watch the signs of coming spring with suspicion: who knows what all ttase buds really mean? But when your annual invitation to the great ALI-ABA bash in September finally arrives, I know for sure that the season has turned.
Thank you for again maintaining one stable aspect in this uncertain world.
But this year is a bit different for me.
I expect to be a real civilian by September, and totally engaged in trying to make a living at it.
Also, I have a strong feeling that ex-Commissioners should go away and stay away. The new crowd will have all they can handle without my hanging around like Banquo's ghost, muttering about their affairs.
So thank you for the invitation, but no.
W1 best regards, J eph M.J!endrie
