Dear Mr. Heishman:
Pursuant to the provision of 10 CFR 2.201 we are replying to the notice of violation dated March 18, 1981.
Our records show meetings of COR0 on May 20, 1979 and October 17, 1979, and a subcomittee meeting on September 27, 1979. The minutes of the subcomittee most have been overlooked during the inspection.
During the exit interview, Purdue personnel thought Mr.
Ridgway was referring to the timing of a CORG meeting that exceeded the semiannual period, as required by the Technical Specifications. Ordinarily the semiannual meetings are held in April and October, but on March 17, 1980 a COR0 meeting was held to approve changes in the Security Plan. When the next CORO meeting was held in October seven months had lapsed.
To prevent a recurrence, a reminder will be put on the Sur-veillance Status Board five months after the last CORO meeting.
The reminder will become effective imediately.
No audit of facility activities was perfomed between October 1978 and May 1980. To prevent a recurrence the audit of facility activities will become a part of the annual inspec-tion. This will be effective imediately.
