As reported in Reference 1, the deployment time test of the Emergency Service Water Supply System was' satisfactorily completed on February 18, 1981.

The purpose of this test is to determine the time required to deploy the systen under normal conditions using 5 maintenance department personnel and to determine an cptimum deployment routine.
3.1 Ecuic=ent:
The following equipment is stored in the northwest end of the Turbine Building.
3.1.1 3 Waterous SV45 purps with litter provisions and truck carts, Purps 41, 2 and 3. r

3.2 Prerecuisites
3.2.1 Notify security of intention to perform test and 1
1 obtain two guards for pesting at the Turbine Building overhead door and west gate to the river.
3.2.2 Nctify Operations of intention to perform test and obtain kcy for transfor.er yard gate and cper-ator to open Turbine Building dcor.
3.2.3 Notify Health Physics of intention to perform test and obtain clearances to enter transformer yard and to remove equipment f rom Turbine Building.
Determine unrchearsed time required for the Fire 3.2.4 Brigade to assemble at Turbine Building overhead dcor.
Determine time required for operator to open overhead 3.2.5 door and to line up valves 75-24-091, 75-24-092, and 75-24-093 in Turbine Building.
Instruct Maintenance personnel in the se -up and 3.2.6 operation of the portable system.

following tasks:
3.3.1 Manually deliver three pumps, suction hoses, strainers, discharge hoses, and 3-way distributor to the edge of the river.
3.3.2 Install suction and discharge hoses on each pump.
Access switch yard and cttach 5" hose to the 3.3.3 1
I 83-24-001 valve.
3.3.4 Laycut 200' of 5" hose fren valve 83-24-001 up to t
the west security fence.
Attach the three-pump discharge hoses to the 3-way l
3.3.5 distributor.
3.3.6 Attach a 5" 50-fcot hose to the disch;rge of the distributor and run to the river.
3.3.7 Start and prime all three pumps.
Establish full combined pu=p flow through the 5" hose 3.3.8 discharging into the river.
3.3.9 Record data on Data Sheet DS-A (attached).
3.3.10 Disacsemble and return equiprent to the Tu.-bine Building.
CAUTION:
Assure that the ESWSS ecuipment is stored in accordance with the Technical Specifications is so -er;uired.
