Dear Sir:
In response to References (b) and (c) Boston Edison Company herein modifies its commitments for the Scram Discharge System - Long Term Modifications as originally presented in Reference (a).
Boston Edison Company will complete its modifications to the Scram Discharge System at Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station by Decenter 31, 1982. Our design will satisfy all the long term design and safety criteria, including the criterion on diverse in-strumentation, presented in the Generic SER on BWR Scram Discharge System, December 1, 1980.
Should a Technical Specification revision be required prior to operation with the modified system, it will be submitted at least 3 months in advance of the modifica-tion completion dates.
