//g to This letter confirms the conversation on April 14, 1981, between Susan Sylvester of your staff and C. J. Paperiello of our staff in which we invited the State of Michigan to accompany us during our close-out survey of a portion of the Velsicol Chemical Co. site in St. Louis, Michigan.
Our inspectors will arrive on site on the af ternoon of April 20, 1981.
The survey is expected to take several days and is being conducted to verify the results of a survey performed by Velsicol. This survey includes only about one-half the site. Velsicol still must survey and decontaminate the remaining half.
The U. S. Environmental Protection Agency is also being invited to accc=pany us during this survey. Velsicol infor=ed us that your agency and the U. S. EPA are being sent copies of their survey. Our survey results will be included in our inspection report and provided to all interested parties.
