Dear Mr. Ahearne:
4 e/
5 We have been too dependent on Mid-East oil for entirely too long.
It is obvious that America would, O I g._
face chaos if that oil were cut off, which could be done by a reckless, unfriendly power.
It should be very obvious to anyone that we must develop our readily-available supplies of coal and nuclear energy at the earliest possible coment, to assure the preservation of America; waiting until the oil is cut off is too late.
Therefore:
TMI No. 1 nust be approved for restart at 1007. immediately.
TMI No. 2 must be released to GPU immediately, for cleaning up and restoring to operation.
Also, all other nuclear units should be cleared for completion and operation just as quickly as possible.
This is not a matter of politics or prejudice or personal policy - it is a matter of national security, in a very unsettled woric, pO3 Wake up - !
3 sincerely, f 6
