Dear Mr. Chairman:

/

s Cu t/

j g

As you know, the fact that the Three Mile Island I nuc_

reactor has remained out of service since early 1979 has imposed great costs on the ratepayers of New Jersey and Pennsylvania and has saverely strained the financial resources of the General Pu'311e Utilities Corporation and its subsidiaries.

I certainly hope that the Contaission will take all necassary actions to bring this reactor back into operation as soon as possible.

The continuing delays in approving the re-rtarr of this plant, and its associated costs, are u.nconscionable.

I would appreciate learning of the Commission's actions and plans in this regard.

With many thanks and all good wishes, Yours sincerely, I

Nbft ICENT FENWICK
